This dress in fine-grained silk shantung has a princess seamed boned bodice. The sweetheart neckline comes to a point at each side where narrow straps are attached. The slightly dropped waistline comes to a slight point at the front and back and is accentuated with a line of contrast piping that is repeated around the neckline. The front panels on the bodice are embellished with contrasting embroidered leafy vines. The back fastens with a zip and overlaid with lacing.
The circle cut skirt has deep inverted pleats at the centre front and back and single pleats at the front of each hip. The skirt hem extends into a long train at the back. This dress is supplied with a petticoat.
